Coach Tiffany Darling has been around basketball all of her life, she has been both an athlete and a coach at many different levels. Coach Darling played her college ball at Central Washington University, a division II university and member of the highly regarded Great Northwest Athletic Conference; from 1998-2001 where she was a starter and a captain until a career ending knee injury abruptly ended her playing days. While at CWU, Darling helped lead her team to a National Tournament berth for the first time in school history. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Fitness from CWU in 2002.

After receiving her degree from CWU, Coach Darling led Warden High School to a league title, district title for the first time in school history, and a state tournament berth en route to earning Coach of the Year honors for turning around a struggling program. She was at Warden from 2002-2004 and also taught Health and Physical Education classes. She then became the top Assistant Coach at Saint Martin’s University from 2004-06 where she helped revitalize the program. Darling helped coach SMU to its first 20-win season and a National Tournament berth earning an overall record of 22-7, placing second in the GNAC (15-3), and finished ranked no. 4 in the West Region Poll in 2004. During her time at SMU, she coached three 1,000 point scorers as well as; 3 GNAC All-Conference performers, 2 Daktronics All-West Region selections, as well as many All-Academic selections. She also helped SMU win the GNAC Academic Championship with a team GPA of 3.63 overall, which ranked 3rd nationally. While at SMU, she also served as the Sports Information Director, Senior Women’s Administrator, and was an adjunct instructor.

Coach Darling most recently served as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Peninsula College from 2006-08. While at Peninsula, Darling started the rebuild of a struggling program, accumulating an overall record of 24-26 and a 15-17 mark in conference play. She coached two athletes to the NWAACC All-Conference team and also finished the season with a 3.3 team GPA. She also served as the Student Outreach/Recruiting Coordinator at Peninsula College.
