The NMHU Cowgirl Soccer team took a time out from RMAC play to travel to Portales, N.M. to take on the Zias of Eastern New Mexico University. The Cowgirls lost to the Zias 3-0.
Lauren Waite started in the net for the Cowgirls and allowed two goals with two saves. Shannon Delarosbil saw action in the second half and allowed one goal with no saves.
The Cowgirls only had two shots on goal for the game as compared to the Zias five shots on goal.
The Cowgirls are still 2-4 in RMAC play and look to better that record as they travel to Grand Junction, Colo. to take on the Mavericks of Mesa State College on 10/2 before they play again at home on 10/4 against the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College.
