Cowgirls Grab Post Season Honors

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has released their All- Conference Awards for the 2010 softball season. Two Cowgirls earned honors on the Second and Third All Conference Teams.

Junior Tanya Groff earned honors on the Second Team as a Designated Player. Groff batted .355 on the year for the Cowgirls. She recorded one double and seven homeruns during the season. She scored 18 runs on 38 hits. She brought in 37 RBIs and had a slugging percentage of .561.

Freshman Melissa Martinez earned Third Team Honors as a Pitcher. Martinez had a 4.47 ERA and was 10-9 on the season. She pitched three shutouts including her first game as a Cowgirl. She pitched 120.2 innings and allowed 101 hits. She struck out 156 batters throughout the season.

The Cowgirls finished their season when they split their RMAC series with Fort Lewis College. They finished with an overall record of 17-29 and RMAC record of 12-23.
