The Cowboys look to avenge the 41-0 loss they experienced at the hands of the Mustangs in their 2009 opener. The Cowboys have made some addition since then and look to turn some heads in their 2010 opener. The Cowboys had about 200 people show up for the event. Family, friends, alumni and Cowboy Football recruits all showed up for the scrimmage and had a great time. The Cowboys showed great improvement on both sides of the ball. Rifilato will serve as the Cowboys Defensive Coordinator. Rifilato is no stranger to Cowboy Football as this will be his second stint with the Cowboy program. Rifilato served as head coach of the Cowboys in the 1999 season. The Cowboys will have to gear up for their next opponent as they hit the road to Silver City, N.M. to take on the Western New Mexico Mustangs. The Cowboys and the Mustangs will be playing for the &ldquo;Warrior Helmet&rdquo; on 10/24. The &ldquo;Warrior Helmet&rdquo; is a traveling trophy between the two teams. The series is tied at 1-1.
